In India, one cannot easily marry older age women, no matter in what religion he/she is from. Author Karan Sharma have taken a good topic and gives a message thought this novel. After reading, my point of view have become broad open to these topics. He covered most of the questions, one can have while marrying a older age women and vise versa, and how people think about this choices.

I liked the story and pretty much admired it. At sometime I felt Gautam was being immature and was frustrated at him. At the end, the novel was very small for me and I felt due to that most scenes were very much fast forwarded and can elaborate in details. Like with Gautam’s parents.

Gautam, 25 yrs. old, young bachelor, working in multinational bank in Mumbai, falls in love with Roshni, 37 yrs. senior management member working in the same multinational bank. He is in a mind of proposing to her and opens up about this with his friend Rohit. but Rohit, being a good friend put Gautam in different situation (mostly to change Gautam’s decision) regarding his future if Roshni is in it. Is Gautam’s love is true and can he pass from the situation that Rohit have shown him.

She Loves Me, He Loves Me Not by Zeenat Mahal

Zoella didn’t know whether she was devastatingly happy or happily devastated.

Zoella has been in love with Fardeen Malik, her best friend’s gorgeous older brother, since she was ten, but he’s always seen her as a ‘good girl’—not his type—and he can barely remember her name. Besides, he’s engaged to a gorgeous leggy socialite, someone from the same rarefied social strata as the imposing Malik family. In short, Zoella has no chance with him.

Until a brutal accident leaves Fardeen scarred and disfigured, that is. Suddenly bereft of a fiancée, Fardeen is bitterly caustic, a shell of the man he used to be, a beast that has broken out of the fairy tale world he once lived in. And a twist of fate lands him his very own beauty—Zoella.

This man, however, is a far cry from the Fardeen of her dreams. Stripped of her illusions, Zoella creates her own twist in the fairy tale, beating him at his own game.

Zeenat Mahal explores themes of love, longing and arranged marriages in this modern, unusual interpretation of the old-age fairy tale.

My Review-

Realistic beauty and the beast.

She Loves Me, He Loves Me Not is a romantic and funny novel, by zeenat mahal, who’s writing style have maganetic effect on readers. I couldn’t stop myself once I started, forgot reality and was very happy in zeenat mahal’s beautiful world, filled with family’s love, culture.

Zoella is in love with her best friends brother since forever. can’t keep my her heartbeat as same and her eyes always follow her first crush, most handsome, prince charming fardeen. who have never seen her properly, who can barely remember her name. Zoella knows she can’t have him and he loves his fiancée neha, he thinks zoella is a “nice girl”, nice girls are not his type, he even don’t know what to do with them, leaves zoella with no chance at all.

It was fate that changed everything with in a night, after an accident left fardeen with destroyed face and scars, scars not only in his skin but also in his heart as his fiancée neha (witch) left him, making him beast. Can zoella bring back her prince charming, make him her fardeen.

“Hey, did you feel that?” he asked almost shocked.
“Don’t tell me, you didn’t feel that?”
“Feel what?”
“None of god’s little creatures fell dead because you shared a smile with me. The sun didn’t vanish. The earth didn’t implode. The curse must be broken”
