Thanks writersmelon for this review copy, and my review is honest and impartial.

My Thoughts

I have read Sourabh Mukherjee’s work before and so I picked this one. I am not a suspense/mystery genre reader, but the blur is very interesting and so is the story. First I thought this story might be scary as the character Hiya Sen got raped and murdered by the start itself; I became sensitive once there were any talk or scene about rape….., but once the story went by I got hooked to it and I had to literally stop myself for breaks.

My Review-

Tollywood actor Hiya Sen was married to business man Manav Chauhan, just few days after their wedding, when they were travelling by car with their driver, three men attacks them, and brutally rape and murder Hiya. ACP Agni Mitra investigates this high profile case. And unfolds the criminal mind behind this. As the story goes, he finds many people with reasons for revenge or for their own benefit, cant hurt Hiya and Manav.

There is Neha Awasthi, daughter of family friend to Chauhan’s, whose engagement with Manav got broke off. Then there is Rutuja Bose, actor and co-worker of Hiya, with whom she share film screen and everyone knows things are not good between these two actors. As the investigation had yet to get solve, two more people connecting to this case get murdered. Agni needs to solve puzzles before the criminal fly away.

Recommendation-

Some scenes might disturb young readers, but yes I would recommend to read this to adult and young readers, as it shows the darker and meaner side of our world which young readers need to see, as incidents does not just happens only in screens or pages but in real life too and The Colours of Passion is packed with thrill, mystery, and full of suspense.
